CLEOGRAPHY... Cleo is many things. Singer, songwriter & entrepreneur. Although her most celebrated title is the leading live music and visual arts of D’sire which she produced in 2003, in Miami, FL. In 1996, she founded "The All Haitian Female Group D’sire," D’SIRE was the latest female group in the Haitian music scene, conceived by group member Cleona Pierre known as Cleo. A singer/songwriter herself, Cleo is known for her unique vocal style and complex, melodic songwriting. Her range is as broad as her interests. Both Cleo's music and personality have in common one very important characteristic: originality. Her experience and vast musical knowledge is what allows her to relate to artists successfully. It's the attention to detail and creativity that sets Cleo apart from others. Her music will definitely incite passion, fun, excitement in those captivated by her intriguing sound which is a blend of Compas love, Zouk, and a few other selected diverse invigorating sounds, catering to all ages and all ethnic groups without prejudice.
Cleo's album is slated to be out in Paris by AD Music in April 2007. This most anticipated album will be release in the USA and HAITI on May 19, 2007. Background: From humble beginnings in St. Marc Haiti hometown, Cleo has risen to the konpa mizik superstardom like a shooting star. At the age of 8 she developed a passion for singing and dancing. She has worked has a model, actress, and she was also the Miss-Haiti-Florida 98. She is well known for her passion for music, she has appeared on magazines such as: Pyramide Magazine, Tambour Battant Magazine, Island TV. She has sung with groups such as: Zenglen, Eklips, and more. She has been featured in several albums like: Zenglen, Harry Brice, Alaye, Miraj, NU-LOOK, Larose and etc. She also did background performance for Wiclef with Top-Vice in 1999 and performed with Sweet Mickey at the Wiclef Festival in Bayfront Park. Cleo’s most recent experience is her 2 year stay with the group Hangout. Now that she’s on her own, she’s looking forward to setting a high goal for herself.
